Aemilian, 253. Antoninianus (Silver, 20 mm, 3.12 g, 12 h), Rome. IMP CAES AEMILIANVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Aemilian to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P I P P Aemilian, in military attire, standing front, head to left, sacrificing out ouf patera over lighted tripod with his right hand and holding transverse spear in his left; behind to left, signum. Cohen 33. Hunter 1. RIC 18. A splendid piece, beautifully toned, very well struck and with an illustrious pedigree. Thin flan crack and the reverse a bit weak, otherwise, extremely fine.
